Projeto de uma caixa de transferência de movimento para implementação da tração 4x4 em veículo BAJA

Abstract

The implementation of the 4x4 model in a Baja SAE type prototype is the trend presented to the teams by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in 2020 for the coming years. This work explored ways to transform a Baja SAE 4x2 prototype into a 4x4, adding as few new components as possible, since the financial reality of the teams is limited. From a new relocation of the prototype's power system, a set for transferring motion and transforming longitudinal rotation into transverse rotation was developed. The system consists of a pair of helical bevel gears, gear coupling shafts, front and rear cardan shafts, bearings, keys, seals, a universal joint and the protective case. The dimensions were made using MITCalc® Software, 3D modeling in SolidWorks® and computational validations in Ansys®. The results of the sizing and analysis were satisfactory, and therefore the model developed in this project can be implemented in the next 4x4 prototypes of the Zebu Baja Team – UFTM.
